Wolf Gourmet Blender Review & Giveaway

As soon as I pulled this bad boy out of the box, I knew my life-long blender frustrations were over.  I couldn’t believe the size of the jar….8 cups!  For a massive family like mine, I was in love instantly.  I was a bit shocked when I pulled the base from the box.  Let’s just say this is one hefty appliance and my worries over a weak motor vanished.  If you are looking for a small, dainty appliance, this is not for you.

Let’s get to the best part….taking this beast out for a test run!

I debated a bit which recipe to try out first but I quickly decided on my favorite Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie.  I added some ice and used frozen bananas.  I was definitely expecting some leftover chunks of ice, but no floating glaciers allowed with this blender.  My smoothie was perfect.

For our Christmas Eve party, I always serve my Cran-Raspberry Pina Colada Slush but I’ve always had to beat the frozen mixture with a rolling pin because I didn’t have a good enough blender.  Let’s just say I’m a little more excited now for Christmas Eve and it has nothing to do with Santa.  And this blender will work perfectly for a party because it is shockingly quiet when it is running.

The next day, I whipped up a batch of Brazilian Cheese Bread bites in my new blender.  It is a gluten free bread recipe I’ve been wanting to try for ages, but needed a blender for it.  OMG were they so amazing!

See this cute little cap with the hole in the bottom?  This ingenious little cap allows you to fill it up with some oil while making a salad dressing and it will slowly drizzle that oil into the blender all by itself.  I made my famous Garlic Balsamic Vinaigrette using this slick little gadget and it worked brilliantly.

I can’t finish this review without mentioning the feature on this blender that left me wide-eyed….the Soup setting.  When using this setting, the blender HEATS your food to just below the boiling point while it blends!  It is a five minute program that you just turn on and walk away from.  If that isn’t cool beans, I don’t know what is.
