Last night was Family Night at the Jones household. One night a week, we do our best to be together as a family with no outside distractions. I wish I could honestly claim that we never miss a week, but then my nose begin to grow 🙂 Family Night at our home consists of a spiritual lesson, singing some songs, playing a game and of course, the all-important treat at the end!
Since autumn has definitely arrived in Minnesota, the kids and I decided it was time for an appropriate fall treat after Family Night this week. Our usual fall dessert is our amazing Homemade Caramel Apple Buffet made with local Minnesota Honey Crisp apples but we just weren’t feeling “apple-y” so decided to try something new. We saw these adorable Acorn Cookies over on Parents Magazine and thought they fit the bill perfectly. They came together in just a few minutes and they loved licking all the chocolate frosting from their little sticky fingers. These would be a great treat for your kids’ fall/Halloween party at school and all the kids will love them!
