Air Fryer S’mores are the perfect dessert idea when the weather or time isn’t cooperating for building a fire. Making a s’more in the air fryer creates a perfectly toasted marshmallow and melts the milk chocolate bar so when you take a bite, all the gooey mess is exactly how it should be. This sweet treat is so easy to make that your kids can make them all on their own, which is always a bonus for any recipe!
Why I Love This Recipe
S’mores hold a special place in my heart because when my kids were younger, the only type of vacation we could afford was camping. We went a couple of times every summer and made some of the best memories. S’mores every night around the campfire were a requirement before the kids would crawl into their sleeping bags for the night.
Now that my kids are older, and our vacations have changed, we still love making s’mores at home. Since we moved to Arizona, there is no way we are going to make them during the summer in front of a campfire. Being outside is fire enough 🙂 So, this summer, we decided to master making air fryer s’mores and we are completely addicted. And a bit worried because they are way too easy to make whenever you want one!

How to Make Air Fryer S’mores
If you have the ingredients on hand, you can make s’mores in the air fryer in just a few minutes and you might like them even more than a campfire.
Time needed: 5 minutes
How to Make Air Fryer S’mores
Toast the marshmallows
This is done inside the air fryer on top of half a graham cracker. The marshmallows will get about 50% bigger, then begin to brown. Don’t move onto the next step until the marshmallow has toasted.
Add the pieces of milk chocolate bar
Simply push the chocolate pieces into the top of the toasted marshmallow. Be sure to push down on the chocolate so it doesn’t fall off in step 3.
Finish cooking the s’mores in the air fryer
Return the s’mores to the air fryer until the chocolate melts, then top with the other half of the graham cracker.
Recipe FAQs
What does s’mores stand for?
The name s’mores is short for “some more” since everyone wants some more of the toasted marshmallow, milk chocolate, and graham cracker treat.
What is the formula for s’mores?
The classic formula is 2 halves of a honey graham cracker, 1 regular-sized marshmallow that’s been toasted, and 3 rectangles of Hershey’s milk chocolate bar. However, there are endless numbers of variations since everyone like different ratios in their own s’more.
My air fryer s’mores burned. What did I do wrong?
Since every air fryer has different power levels, it is important to keep an eye on the marshmallow as it roasts. This recipe was written using a 1500-watt machine. A 1700-watt air fryer will take less time, while a 1300-watt fryer will need more. Once you know the perfect time, record it so you know for next time.
Air Fryer S’mores Recipe Variations
Being a home cook let’s you play with recipes and try variations that fit your tastes and what you have available to you. Here are a few twists you can try for this recipe:
Use Oreos in place of the graham crackers. Both chocolate and vanilla Oreos make delicious S’moreos
Substitute other chocolate candy bars in place of the Hershey’s milk chocolate. Reese’s peanut butter cups, Snickers, Milky Way, Rolos, and Crunch bars would all be amazing.
Use marshmallow cream in place of the marshmallows. Simply dollop on some onto the graham cracker before it goes into the air frier.
Try using cinnamon or chocolate graham crackers in place of the honey graham.
Ready in 4 minutes and taste just as good as making them by the fire!
Total Time:5 minutes
Yield:4 s’mores 1x

Scale
4 graham crackers, broken in half

Instructions
Place four graham cracker halves into the basket of your air fryer.
Set one marshmallow on top of each cracker and bake at 400 degrees for 3-5 minutes. The amount of time varies depending on the air fryer. You want the marshmallows to be puffed up and toasted.
