I received a killer late birthday gift. Wolf Gourmet sent me a gorgeous 10 piece set of their new cookware and I have had way too much fun taking them for a spin around my kitchen. Read on for my full review and be sure to enter to win the giveaway as well!

I want to start this honest review with my first impression when I saw this set in person: sexy. Yes, pots and pans can be sexy, at least to a food blogger.

I am a sucker for little stylish details when it comes to my kitchen equipment and this set is full of them. For example, the brand impressions on all the lids and the high polished stainless steel that looks more like a mirror than a pan made my heart flutter.
I wasn’t the only one who had a memorable first impression. When the package arrived, it took every ounce of my self control not to rip the box open, but I decided to let my little two have all the fun and unbox the pans. Watch and enjoy a good laugh 🙂
So which piece is my favorite one? Hmmm….that is hard because they all serve such a different purpose in the kitchen but if I had to pick one it would have to be the 11.5″ skillet. You see, every Sunday I make a pork loin roast for dinner and not some small little puny one. Six kids, remember? I’ve had many burns and close calls of dropping my finished roast because my old skillet did not have this magical little grip on the other side of the pan. When you are pulling a heavy roast in a heavy pan out of a very hot oven, that handle makes a HUGE difference!

When I was searing the above mentioned pork loin roast on my stove, I was really impressed with how evenly the skillet browned the meat and the clean release when I turned it over to brown another side. In the past, most of the deep brown magic would stick to my pan but now all that amazing flavor is where it should be, on the roast!
Since I’ve never been good at favorites, I can’t do an honest review without giving a special shout out to the 6 quart dutch oven and 3.5 quart sauce pan. These workhorses have easily been the most used of the whole set. They are the perfect size for my normal weeknight meals and as my kiddos mentioned in their video, they love a perfect popcorn pan 🙂

All 10 of these piece are completely dishwasher and oven safe to 500 degrees which is very important to me. I’ve owned pans that couldn’t go from stove top to oven and they are useless! While dishwasher safe isn’t super high on my priority list, my husband and kids would put that as priority #1 on theirs. Heaven forbid they have to wash something by hand…
I know you guys are drooling all over your keyboard right about now, so I have a few options for you to get your hands on some. Â Of course, don’t hesitate to pick up a set of your own from Bloomingdales, which offers free shipping as well.

Sunday Gravy – Italian sauce with Braciole.
First I would do a shrimp scampi with fettuccini then a a braised short rib with polenta! Yum!
Would love to make chili, homemade soup, eggs & bacon for breakfast, pasta dishes, homemade meatballs, Coq Co Vin, Beef Bourguignon, potato side dishes, steamed veggies, homemade spaghetti sauce, spanish rice and lots of different beans.
I would probably use every pan to cook a big family dinner. I always use almost every pan, the bigger the meal the better, and I have a big family.
What WOULDN’T I love to make in this cookware! I made my famous vegetable beef soup today, and I would have enjoyed making it in that shiny Wolf 6-qt. Dutch oven! My collection of pots and pans looks like a shelf in a thrift store. LOLI just moved into an apartment with limited space and I feel this cookware set would meet all my needs, so I could get rid of all the junk! Wish me luck!
I would love to make a leg of lamb with a pomegranate cousin cousin and syrupy fig sauce in the Dutch oven… low and slow. YUMMEEEEEE

I would love to make Tuscan Pasta
I have my in laws over on Sunday’s and would love to make them braised short ribs with cheesy polenta and balsamic roasted vegetables. This weeks desert will be triple berry tartlets with home made vanilla bean ice cream. The equipment really makes a difference. I would LOVE this sexy matched set to cook in for them
Woulden’t this be a dream coming true! Oh my word it’s so beautiful, this is just what I need to get me started in the kitchen again!
