Balsamic Vinaigrette Recipe

Homemade salad dressing recipe that is so delicious!  You won’t buy it from the store ever again.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1 rounded TB dijon or brown mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 C quality balsamic vinegar
  • 2/3 C extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together all the ingredients except the oil.
  2. While whisking, slowly drizzle in the oil to emulsify. You can also use a blender or immersion blender for this step.
  3. Keep at room temperature in an airtight container for 7 days or in the fridge for 30 days.

Notes

Recipe variation: add 1 – 2 teaspoons of honey in with the vinegar for a sweet dressing
