No-Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C butter
  • 1 1/2 C white sugar
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/2 C creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 3/4 C whole oats
  • 1 1/4 chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9 inch square pan with non-stick spray and set aside
  2. In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter over medium high heat, then add the sugar, milk and peanut butter. Mix to combine and then allow the mixture to come to a boil. As soon as the mixture begins to boil all around the edges of the pan, set the timer for 4 minutes.
  3. After the four minutes are up, remove from the heat then add the vanilla and oats. Mix to completely combine. Pour the mixture into your pan and evenly spread. Immediately top with the chocolate chips and let them sit for about 5 minutes so they will melt, then use a knife to evenly spread the melted chocolate over the bars. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting.
