An easy fall treat recipe that everyone can customize for their tastes!
Ingredients
Scale
2 apples, cut into 8 slices each
Chocolate Dip
2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
White Chocolate Dip
2/3 cup white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
Caramel Dip
16 wrapped Kraft caramel candies
1 tablespoon water
Toppings
Chopped peanuts
Crushed Oreos
Shredded coconut
Mini M&M’s
Sprinkles
Chopped preztels
Toasted pecans
Raisins
Dried cranberries
Flakey salt
Instructions
- Prepare each topping by melting both ingredients in a small microwave safe bowl in the microwave on high until melted, about 60 seconds. Mix until smooth.
- Place sticks into each apple slice and dip into desired topping. Place onto parchment or wax paper and sprinkle on the toppings while wet.
- Refrigerate until toppings set, about 10 minutes.
Notes
Be sure apple slices are completely dry before dipping so the chocolate / caramel stick to the slice.
