Parfaits are a great dessert option when you are trying to eat healthy and this recipe is a light take on cheesecake. I toasted slices of angel food cake and layered them with fresh strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and a fluffy cream cheese mousse. The best part is the calorie count….only 170 calories for each parfait!
It is GIVEAWAY time because Christmas came early here at My Kitchen Escapades! Wolf Gourmet generously sent me one of their gorgeous 2.4 HP High Performance Blenders to take for spin around my kitchen and I’ve been blending up a storm ever since.
And the best part for you….just in time for the holidays….. I have one JUST FOR YOU! The retail value of this gorgeous workhorse is $599.99 and it will be a stunning addition to your kitchen. I love an amazing giveaway!
Are your kids big eaters? I have a couple friends whose children eat so little that when they are at my house, I feel a bit out of my element. You see, I’m the Mom with all the good food. You come to Casa Jones and you know there will be great food, and large quantities of it. It’s almost as if I don’t know how to communicate with these odd children who only want a couple grapes as an after school snack. All 6 of my minions love to eat, just like their Mom, and providing them with great food is one the aspects of being a Mom I love best. I guess that is my Italian heritage peeking through… I love you, therefore I shall feed you large amounts of marvelous food.
Since all my kids arrive home from school within a few minutes of each other, the after school devour-everything-you-can-find-time is always loud and stressful. The fact that I am one of those horrible Moms who has a specific list of snack foods they can choose from, only adds to the frantic atmosphere. Each of them wants to be sure they get to the “best” snack option before their brother or sister! My acceptable snack list always includes fruits, vegetables, cheese, yogurt and nuts, but I will often toss in a fun surprise that is still good for them as well. When these Bagel Bites were waiting for them after school last week, they were so excited! Especially my teenage son who ate more than all his other siblings combined. Can someone please explain the science behind how teenage boys make all that food fit into their stomachs?
All my little rascals loved the Bagel Bites and I appreciated how quick they were to prepare and that they are a quality baked snack. I’m sure they will be requesting them again soon for an after-school snack surprise. Next time though, I need to remember to print this great coupon first.
To help share the love, Bagel Bites has generously offered my readers a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card, provided by Bagel Bites! To enter to win, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what your favorite snack food is! Good luck!
