Locks of Love

Today was a heart breaking day for me.  My four year old daughter Elisabeth insisted on cutting her hair short and donating it to Locks of Love.  Don't get me wrong, I am so proud of her but I love her hair.  Love it.  It is the hair I always wanted as a little girl but genetically couldn't have:  thick, shiny and all the way down my back.
I was so scared to do it.  My oldest daughter even laughed at how much my hands were shaking while I was cutting.  That is 12 inches in that pony tail!!!
I think she looks so cute, but also so much older.  Elisabeth can't stop looking at herself in the mirror and I can tell she is thrilled with the results.  I guess I can cut 8 minutes out of my morning schedule now that I won't be brushing through the tangled mane anymore!
Pardon me while I take a few minutes to quietly mourn the passing of my little girl into a big girl.

You need to console yourself with some baked goods. I am surprised you didn't and there was no recipe!
